Since 2007, KTS Recycling has made mattress recycling it’s business.
From the beginning, we have wanted to innovate within the recycling business and find new ways to process waste and have alternative solution rather than simply put waste into landfill.
At our Knox Transfer Station, we process mattresses by shredding them to enable us to recover any metals using magnets. Select mattresses are hand stripped with foam recovered reused in the making of carpet underlay.

KTS Recycling has been a name you can trust for recycling since 2007, especially mattress recycling. We are proud to be Victoria’s #1 mattress recycler, having recycled over 2.5 million mattresses (as of June 30, 2025) since 2007.
KTS Recycling is also an approved mattresses recycler of the Australian Bedding Stewardship Council (ASBC), a not-for profit entity establish to tackle the problem of end-of-life mattresses in Australia to keep them out of landfill.
Not Just Mattresses..
At KTS Recycling, recycling doesn’t just stop at mattresses. We are able to recycle many different that are made of similar materials as mattresses, such as soft furnishings (couches).
