Where are KTS Recycling sites?
Our sites are located at Coldstream, Frankson, Knox & Wesburn
What days do your sites trade?
Coldstream- Mon – Sat 7:30am – 4:30pm, Sun & Public Holidays 9:00am – 4:00pm
Frankston- Trading 8:00am – 4:00pm all days including Public Holidays
Knox- Mon-Sat 7:30am – 4:30pm, Sun & Public Holidys 9:00am – 4:30pm
Wesburn- Mon/Fri/Sat 8:30am – 4:00pm, Sun & Public Holidays 9:00am – 4:00pm (site is closed Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursdays)
NOTE- all KTS Recycling sites are closed Good Friday & Christmas Day

What is the difference between a transfer station & a tip/landfill?
A transfer station will sort wastes to remove as much recoverable material as possible to reduce the amount of waste transferred to landfills
What is E-Waste?
E-Waste (electronic waste) is any waste with a plug, battery, or power cord.
Do you accept E-Waste for free?
Yes. All our sites accept e-waste & in most cases e-waste disposal will be free.
Do you accept asbestos?
No, we do not accept asbestos or other hazardous materials such as chemicals
Do you accept X-Rays?
Yes, our sites at Coldstream, Frankston and Knox recycle X-rays for free.
Do you accept household batteries?
We do not accept household batteries on site. Visit B-Cycle for your nearest battery recycling drop off point
Do you accept hot water services?
Yes, all KTS Recycling sites accept hot water services for free and we recycle them
Do you accept paint?
Yes, we accept waste paint at our sites. Coldstream & Frankston are part of the PaintBack program so waste paint is taken for free. Our Knox and Wesburn sites take waste paint at a rate of $5 per litre.
Where can I get rid of chemicals?
We do not accept chemicals at any of our sites. To get rid of household chemicals, look at the Detox Your Home program set up by Sustainability Victoria, that is the safest and easiest way to remove harmful chemicals from your home.
Do you sell mulch?
Yes, we sell mulch at all our sites in convenience sized bags that are easily transportable by one person in a car.
Our site at Coldstream has the smaller bags or can provide larger quantities for people with Utes or trailers
Do you accept food waste?
No, our sites do not accept food wastes.
What are your 'Treasure Chest' shops?
All our sites have a ‘treasure chest’ recycled goods shop where we take items that are still in good condition and create an opportunity for people buy them, rather than have the items go to landfill.
